Sarah Jessica appears to be casting wary glances about the room. She should be, and I am casting them back at her.

This may not be inherently bad, although the top looks evocative of what Monica Gellar would call the opening of someone’s precious flower. But my real issue is with the skirt. Is it SUPPOSED to look like I can see her slip hem under there, or did someone decide that a reverse peplum was a snazzy new design aesthetic? Is she wearing a tiny petticoat under there? Or is it actually a more sheer bottom skirt than I originally thought? Was there something on the invitation to this event that said, “Dress Code: Expensively confounding”?
