Golden Globes Fug or Fab Carpet: Taraji P Henson

fug-or-fab

All I know is, now I want Amy Poehler to put on her red carpet outfit, meet up with Taraji here, and go fight crime as two awesome, coordinated ladies:

Do I wish this weren’t a jumpsuit? I do. Do I think it’s a bit Colonel Sanders? I do. Do I secretly kind of enjoy it regardless? Don’t tell anyone.

It might look better without the jacket. Also, you should imagine that I’ve whispered all of this, because I really should not be endorsing a jumpsuit.

I might just be too easily swayed by the fact that she, as a person, seems kind of great. What do you think?

What do I think? I think you answered your own question. It’s Colonel Sanders’ jumpsuit, and that means it’s awful. If you need more? The jumpsuit has pleated, tapered, capri-length pants. And the top (or her bra, or both) makes her look as if her breasts are sagging. SHE is awesome, she is beautiful, this outfit is fug. Fug Fug Fug.

      Seriously, exactly this. FUG.

Yup. She’s beautiful and this outfit is A) not showing that off at all and B) sort of cray in an unfun way.

I don’t think a bra is making her breasts look saggy… Doesn’t that second picture make it seem that perhaps she is not wearing a bra at all? I am getting a LOT of nipple in that second pic – a LOT.

But otherwise, I’m in total agreement. This is bad. And it also just looks cheap. That bright white fabric looks very… Express? Or some other inexpensive mall store geared mostly towards juniors.

Yikes. Yeah, I saw nipple too – LOTS of it – but I went into deep denial; going braless under cheap white fabric is too horrible to contemplate. I’m one of those women who won’t even consider buying anything backless or strapless because I can’t wear a supportive bra with it; how anyone endowed could choose to go braless when a bra is an option confounds me. Aside from Taraji’s charm, the only thing this jumpsuit has going for it is that you could wear a decent bra under it…. I just don’t understand.

Y’all crazy. I think this shouldn’t work, it’s a jumpsuit!, but it work, some how. It’s chich and $$ looking but also weird and Colonel Sanders’-y. This is a freaky Fab

Quintiply. This is terrible. One crazy day, I might like a jumpsuit. But it’s definitely not today. Not this horrible thing.

Those black strips look like electrical tape and now that’s all I can see.

A sleeveless dust-coverall wrapped in electrical tape. Fashion from the janitor’s closet.

    It is finger lickin fug.

She looks short, disproportionately wide, and like she was wrapped in a dustcloth. When she started to work her way loose, the kidnapper wrapped her in all the electrical tape he had, which wasn’t much. The high waist and narrow ankle kill it the most, though – her breasts look like they’ve time-traveled here from her eighty-year-old body, and that narrow ankle makes her look like a nail.

If a stylist suggested this, they honestly should be fired.

no no no no no no no no. not only is it a jumpsuit, but it is an awkward one that doesn’t fit her properly. fug.

I love the jacket – HATE the jumpsuit.

Yes. You’re swayed by her personality. There is nothing good about this. It’s wrinkled, it fits oddly and makes her look boxy, the belt is in an bad spot, her breasts look level with her navel, and the fabric is so thin I can see pockets through it. And whatever is going on with the bottom of the pant legs, whether static cling or an ill-advised attempt at an unusual hemline, looks ghastly.

Fug. All the way down, jumpsuit or no jumpsuit.

Yeah, this is doing her figure no favors (especially with the jacket).

Okay, this is really bad. The bodice is not doing her breast any favors and a pleated is pretty much no one’s friend. No matter how much we like Taraji this is pretty darn fugly.

I, too, have to Fug it, but if she were wearing a decent bra and the pants portion weren’t so terribly terribly ’80s, I might well go the other way on this.

As long as it’s without the jacket, that is.

I will not go back to 80s fashion. She can’t make me. Never again will I wear baggy semi pleated pants with tapered ankles. No!

It’s bulky and awkward, and the way the hem on the pants is puckering makes the whole thing look cheap. Total miss for such a pretty woman.

I don’t think it needs the vertical stripe. Other than that, she looks okay, but not fab. Not a fug though, for me.

I think I’ve seen a Kardashian wearing this to grocery shop.

You are right. It’s horrible, but it’s ever so slightly less horrible without the jacket. And also without her hands in her pockets making her hips look a mile wide.

I’m nearly swayed by the fact that she’s on the fantastic “Person of Interest” but ….. it’s still a jumpsuit.

I seriously covet those shoes… And maybe if the pants were black and better hemmed, and the shirt didn’t have a stripe… Whatt happened to resort to good old lbd when you don’t have anything nice to wear?
