This is a near-total 180 from the floral Zuhair Murad she wore to the Emmys. That’s a smart choice. It would’ve been hard to repeat that explosion of glory, and she’d probably rather not evoke it and be her own copycat — especially since it was hard to top — so going in a completely different direction was the right play.
