Seriously, she is the only person alive who could wear this and not wind up on every single What Was She Thinking?!? list today. We got an email from Armani yesterday afternoon, running down the details on all the celebs they ended up dressing, and they described this as “a custom Armani Privé black sequin, wide neck bodysuit with a white gathered skirt of silk taffeta covered in a veil of oversized polka dot paillettes. The mini evening skirt cascades dramatically into a train.” I don’t mind telling you that when I read those words in that order, I thought, “if that was designed for anyone but Janelle Monae, I would be terrified about it right now.” As it is, basically all I want is for her to go for a stronger lip.
