Seriously. Aren’t all these people supposed to be off in Scotland pretending to be slapping their family members and plotting people’s deaths?
Rose Leslie’s dress is a little odd, yes, but she’s pulling it off.
I like the dress too, but it really bothers me that she’s standing on the hem. On the plus side, she seems to have found her bra. It was obviously missing the other day when she put on that green dress.
Kit Harrtington just barely works for me in his bear skins so I’m entirely unsurprised that he’s not pulling it off in real clothes.
Then again, I want all of them to look better than they do. This is such an attractive cast. Why don’t they look more awesome?
Yeah, these people are all REALLY good looking and almost everyone has looked OFF in all of the photo ops. Like they aren’t media trained, maybe? Or maybe there is a strain of pink eye that makes everyone look tired?
Even Maisie, who is young, looks old and tired.
The fictional stylist is mad about what happens this season, I bet.
If they’re following the books, we will probably all be mad about what happens this season. I almost wish I hadn’t read them.
They are following the books, at least insofar as you’re talking about “that scene.” I’ve read a bunch of interviews with writers and crew, and they keep talking about how everyone was emotional after the filming of it and worried about how the audience would react. I will say no more.
I really think Heather and Jessica need to start a side blog to GFY – one about Downton Abbey, GoT, Hart of Dixie, etc.. Then we could comment and discuss plot and characters there, and not blow up the fashion comments with our gripes about the shows. I’m sure they have plenty of time to make this happen, right girls? Heh
I would fully support this!!!
And also – I can’t wait for ‘That Scene’… the EPs said they decided to take on doing GoT in the first place because of it.
Kit Harington does it for me regardless of what he is wearing, though I would prefer it if he wasn’t……
Heh, I think the audience reaction would be WORSE if they didn’t follow the books. Oh man, can you imagine? (I work in Geek World: I can.)
I am so with you. I’m reading book 3 now, and….it’s just the worst. But, I still can’t wait to see this season.
Since I read a couple of comments the other day about Natalie Dormer’s facial expressions, it’s ALL I see when I look at her. But then I look at Chef Nikolaj and I feel all better.
I was just thinking how I wish she’d stop making the duck face in every picture. She is lovely–duck lips are not.
It’s not even really duck face, I don’t think. It’s sort of a smirk. She’s trying to be fierce. I find it fairly amusing.
Also, as for the dress swapping for Maisie and Sophie — don’t do that based on ages. They’re just over a year apart. I know it looks like more than that, but it’s not. Maisie’s just a few weeks shy of 16. Maybe the dress is still a touch too old for her — I would vote yes, but I think maybe with different styling it would be fine for her.
Maybe she just can’t keep a straight face when being herself.
Can’t go wrong with a Chef like That Guy.
Sophie Turner’s hair is just so pretty.
Such pretty hair! Also Michelle Fairley’s shoes? Want!
Nikolaj’s Lannister hair is tragic but he’s still dreamy so I forgive him.
I was a bit disturbed by all the Arya press tour/premiere clothing because I thought she was a wee tween, I was really surprised to found out that Maisie is 16 and only a year younger than Sophie Turner.
I can’t believe Natalie Dormer is 31. Thirty-one! I thought she wasn’t a day over 20. Wow. Whatever she’s using on her face, keep it up, girl! (And share with me!)
Gaa! Natalie Dormer’s PermaSmirk drives me crazy! And it’s not just for photocalls (a la Ginnifer Goodwin’s blank photo face) – Natalie made that face ALL THE TIME on Tudors.
Could Tyrion do something about it? I think yes.
Hey Natalie Dormer! Your face is going to get stuck that way.
These people must be so tired and most of them look it.
Sorry to be a nerd, but I’m only writing this now because I was in Northern Ireland last week, where GoT is filmed. The studio is in Belfast, and most of the outdoor scenes that look cold and wet are filmed in Northern Ireland.
They keep dressing Williams like she’s 30. And whoever did that to her eyebrows should never work in this town again. And possibly be sued. The brows will grow back, but these pictures will hang around forever.
Why does Kit Harington look so good to me on the show and so meh in personal appearances? IS it the bearskin? Or just that the show’s lighting director is obviously some kind of god?
Also, I love Fairley’s dress, and her shoes, they just belong with different partners. Those shoes should date a proper evening gown, bejeweled and formal, for nights out on the town, and the dress could have a great relationship with a simple pair of pumps suitable for day or evening.
It’s not just you. One the show I’m all, Jon Snow! Then I see him as himself and think, not so much.
we call him Hot Snow. But off the show, meh.
LOL, I guess it’s a pretty usual thing!
The show really does have the best lighting director – and camerawork – ever. Everyone looks amazing on it.
I’m getting accustomed to a certain kind of lifestyle (that is, getting used to Game of Thrones posts on GFY) and I really hope they continue with some regularity. It’s a happy collision of two of my favorite things.
You’d think that Kit would take the opportunity to wear anything BUT black…
Off-screen Kit Harrington always looks like a Quebecois minor hockey player all dressed up for the draft. He has total French-Canadian hockey hair.
Can’t wait for Season 3 and agree the missing jewellery is irksome. Glad the rate your comments thing has died a death too.
i want Nikolaj Coster-Waldau to spend HOURS teaching me how to say his name.
What a very good idea.
Also, I give props to Sophie Turner. She’s only 17 and I think she looks age appropriate and very pretty, although funkier shoes would be nice. And as someone who HATES jewelry, I like the bare looks on the women, especially the teens.
Maise and Michelle look so much alike! Wow.
Psst, Tudors was Showtime. But HBO’s stylists still love Natalie!
