This show is based on Lynn Povich’s book about the 1970 fight against Newsweek, of which she was part, protesting the magazine’s refusal to use female journalists. I’m very curious about it; it’s also an Amazon show, and I’m intrigued that it landed there and not on cable. Maybe AMC felt like it had already done a period piece that covered gender politics, but honestly, it’s not like that’s an expired issue. Regardless of platform, I’m looking forward to checking out out; Anna Camp is, historically, a delight when on my TV set.
