Dita’s makes me a little claustrophobic, I think.
Claustrophobic bordello wear. I usually love how she looks; this time, not so much.
Same. I like her signature style, a LOT, and it generally really works on her.
But this one just made me feel like I was trapped in a tiny, tiny top-floor bordello bedroom, surrounded by too many heavy dark draperies and too much brocade furniture, with a very old madam forcing cups of tea and whisky on me while talking endlessly about the old days.
She definitely looks upholstered.
Freida Pinto has the best smile. That’s all.
But her dress looks like it features a parachute harness ….
Reason No.5billion to eschew transparent plastic shoes:
They look white when light bounces off the sweat that’s condensed inside them because howtheeff can your foot breathe in a plastic shoe?
For some reason I saw this after I saw the comments down below. This is fascinating. SCIENCE.
And there were so many good reasons already!
Oh Amy Adams..honey, no. Everybody needs some support – ahem…and so do you.
Yes. Ms. Adams, please Look Into Bras.
That is 110 percent unflattering on a lovely young woman … Amy, you can and will do better !
Yes, I love her, but the dress designer was apparently Elie Saag.
Are you sure that’s not Sienna Miller in the first photo?
No, it’s just the wax museum figure of Charlize.
My first thought was stretched out Meg Ryan.
From the front, Charlize looks like she’s wearing a man’s hair-piece on backwards.
Amy Adams left her bra in the limo.
Freida is pulling off that color and the cut of the dress. She’s a Well-Played for me.
That’s foot moisture build-up! Ew. Put on the defrost.
I thought they were bandages so after reading your comment I went back and looked and it is FOOT CONDENSATION. …. WHAT.
(that period is intentional. that is a statement. not a question.)
Yep, that is sweat condensation in those shoes. Years ago (in the early 90s) I had a pair of clear jellies. The first time I wore them, they were like greenhouses for your feet. Not good.
Wait, WHAT!? How/why does it look like that?!!?! Also, is Frieda preggo?
Wait… the WHITE STUFF IS CONDENSATION?
If y’all are talking about Kurkova, those are clearly bandages.
Nope, I take it back. In close-up, yeah, that’s condensation under the clear plastic. Yuck!
Dev looks GREAT. Somehow he lifts Frieda into a Well-Played By Proxy.
Mostly I’m just still so delighted that they are still together. D&F 4-evah!
He is damned good-looking. And so young!
I hate Amy Adams’s dress. I hate what it and the lack of support are doing to her chest.
I just wish something in Dev’s outfit was a different color…his tie? Or maybe add a snazzy pocket square? Everything is too matchy-matchy…
I agree—I love this couple!
I think Charlize looks fabulous even though she is wearing gilded Muppet shoulder pads. But then again, she would probably look fabulous wearing an entire Muppet. She won the Genetic Lottery Powerball.
It’s true. I don’t like the dress OR the hair (although, pass since I guess she’s growing it out), and she’s still stunning.
The length of the Amy Adams dress is perfect but the design of it is screaming “Ice Skater! Triple Salchow!”
Paz Vega looks slammin’. Absolutely gorgeous. Simple perfection with a nice sassy zipper detail, I love it. Beautifully styled, too, perfect hair and accessories.
But every last one of the rest:
Amy Adams’ dress looks like the designer was so busy making the skirt, they didn’t leave enough stuff for the top. Her lack of undergarments is another issue entirely that I won’t bring up (see what I did there) because there is already a good deal of contention racked up over it (and see what I did THERE!) already.
Charlize is gorgeous as always. I have such a girl-crush on her. Are y’all sure about the white stuff on KK’s feet? Looks like bandages she’s using to avoid the massive blisters she’s going to get for being in those shoes for longer than five minutes.
Re: The feet, I thought so too, but zoom in on the original.
I am completely in love with the skirt portion of Amy’s dress. The sparkle & floof & shape, I love. If something, almost ANYthing, else was done with the top, it would have been a win for me!
Upvoted for “floof”!
I just don’t understand the sweaty feet on Karolina. How can sweat (or condensation) have such defined, straight edges and be snow white? When you sweat it might be cloudy and kind of drippy looking but this looks like bandages stuck on with medical tape. I’m not buying the “fogged” up theory.
I didn’t either, at first, but click on “View Original” and zoom in.
I saw other photos of Charlize’s dress, and I loved it then. The light was reflecting off the shoulders and giving her face this amazing golden glow. In these angles, it isnt as flattering and kind of boring over all. I love her face though, I think it is so gorgeous.
It looks like Karolina has bandages and protective wrap over what might be new pedi-tattoos.
I haven’t looked at full size, yet, but Amy Adams dress makes me feel like I’m looking at Amy Adams wearing pasties under something sheer….and i don’t like it…not one bit.
Karolina’s shoes look like she forgot to take out the foot form plastic that keeps them from losing shape.
I love, adore Dita…however, this looks like it’s choking her. I love the idea…I just wish there was less of it.
I kinda love Paz’s dress. I think an interesting zipper detail can save soooo much…. then again, I am straight up an 80′s baby.
I do wish she’d worn sassier shoes…… Sassy shoes can save soooo much.
According to people.com, Amy’s dress originally had a SHEER bodice, which she had lined (thank you for that, Amy). Her appearance still needs more lift, but let’s give her props (sorry, bad pun) for adding the lining.
