The Queen’s winner at last year’s Royal Ascot, Estimate, ran again and lost the Gold Cup by a neck in what sounds like it was a very exciting race. That must be disappointing for her, but apparently the fillies in that field can run it several years in a row, so hopefully she’ll have another go next year and can HOLD this sucker rather than just gaze into it and wish she had bookends.
