As much as I enjoy a big dumb disaster movie — or even a big smart one; no idea which this is — I am not sure I can bring myself to watch this one. The fear of an earthquake causing my entire city to rip apart while my family is separated by traffic and miles and cracked earth hits a LITTLE close to home.
Also, if anyone is looking for ways to donate to disaster relief in Texas after those terrifying floods, I found this list from an ABC affiliate. I was born in Houston and started my professional life in Austin, so it aches to see everyone down there in such chaos. Our hearts are with you, Fug Nationals in Texas (and non-Fug Nationals too; they just won’t see this to get the message).
