Rosario Dawson is 33. (Or, to be honest with you, I suspect she might be “33.”)
Making her a very youthful Mother of the Bride indeed.
wow. she is a twig. this dress adds like 30 pounds!
OoOoO! This should be an Unfug it Up. Love the color, and even the funky zipper neckline, but needs to lose those puffy sleeves (why?) and the matchy-ish shoes. Totally right that this ages her Jessica…or “ages”…w/e.
Unfug it up! I agree. I don’t actually get Mother of the Bride vibe, although it ages her — maybe like “Older Sister of the Bride”. I don’t love the color, but I don’t mind the sleeves. I would redo the zipper neck (why?) and would definitely do a funkier shoe. And the hair is just a little wah-wah. But she is pretty and sassy. I feel like that is a real smile right there, and I love a real smile.
I think she really is 33. She was a teen in Kids.
I’m inclined to agree, Tiffany. She really did not look like an adult playing a teen, in Kids. She looked like a teen: face not fully developed, shoulders and hips not filled out yet – 1979, which is what’s on IMDb, seems about right for her birth year. A few years later, in He Got Game, she had her adult figure, but her face was still finishing up its final formation.
This outfit is awful. The only thing I like is the zipper neckline.
Me too. I think she really is 33. And she, as a person, looks terrific. The outfit, not so much (though I think that’s a great color on her). But look at that punim. What a smile.
I really can’t even tell about the color, because there’s just so very much of it. But yes, it’s always nice to see her beautiful face, and she does look genuinely joyful here! Can’t beat that.
I guess I’m alone in this, but I kinda like it. No arguing about that pretty smile, tho!
I don’t mind this either, the edgy neckline is enough of a twist to keep it from looking matronly, though I do agree w holly that the dress adds some unflattering curves.
I like it too, a lot actually
whatcha all talkin ’bout? the colour looks pretty on her, the zipper is fun, the belt is just right, and so with a change of shoe/bag colour and loss of that ring she’s wearing, this is so nice for spring.
It seems casual and understated, as if she doesn’t want to upstage the bride at a wedding.
Great, great smile – but I’m not feeling the hair, which looks a little more lank than it should … though it could be she’s wearing it down to bring the age-count down on the dress. It’s a weird ensemble.
What’s wrong with this to me…has been bugging me for hours since this post went up, and I have just figured it out. The “fabric” looks like it’s made out of the same stuff that scuba gear is made out of, just all blousy and whatnot. Very awkward.
Hey, it’s like I always say, why wait ’til you’re 65 to dress like it?
Rosario, you’re a total smoke show. Start dressing like it.
The Classy Cubicle
I think she looks fantastic! And not mother-of-the-bride at all. Actually I think she looks really modern and chic.
Like seriously, what cool MOTB do y’all know who would wear assymetrically-zipped necklines? I really don’t get it.
Do you think she could unzip that collar all the way around & take off the sleeve? OR, in reverse, zip it all the way up & … not be able to breathe?
I can’t help thinking that if this was shorter it might have been better.
Nah, you’re WRONG… This is fab! It has a very 1930′s feel, though updated (the assymetric neckline & zipper), gorgeous. Love the sleeves!
You know what it really is? I just voted for her, so the outfits are painfully fresh in my mind… the problem with this dress is, it looks like something Kim Kardashian would wear.
i seriously thought this was Jordin Sparks.
