Did you know that the full, complete name of infamous (and sadly defunct) New York club CBGB was, per Wikipedia, “CBGB & OMFUG, which stands for ‘Country Bluegrass Blues and Other Music For Uplifting Gormandizers.'” Maybe we should rename this blog For Uplifting Gormandizers? (I secretly kind of like that. Let’s call it that when we need to talk about it to, say, our grandmothers and we don’t want to explain what “fugly” means.)
Anyway. I’ve heard the movie about CBGB is actually quite terrible and that no gormandizer will be uplifted. I can’t wait to watch it on a plane. The good news is that, even if it’s a flop, Stana has a great day job. Shall we take a look at her ensemble?
I love the skirt. I want to twirl in it. But I think, ultimately, this is one of those dresses that can easily wear a woman rather than the other way around. Diane Kruger could wear this with aplomb. Hailee Steinfeld could pull it off (it would seem really youthful on a very youthful person). Solange would rock it. I could see Kristen Stewart slouching around in it (wouldn’t it be interesting to see her in this kind of skirt for once?). I fear Stana Katic, as lovely as she is, just looks sort of as if she forgot to put her top on. What’s your verdict?*
