Turn that skirt into a pantsuit, and she is ready for the Hunger Games.

Light it on fire, and it’d be ready.

Actually, lighting it on fire might not be such a bad idea, period. I mean, the skirt is cute, BUT OH MY GOD. CINNA WOULD NEVER HAVE ALLOWED THIS. HE WOULD HAVE LIT HIMSELF ON FIRE BEFORE ALLOWING THAT TO HAPPEN TO HER BOOBS.

I covet the shoes she’s wearing with the letterman outfit. Now, if only I had $900 laying around for a pair of shoes, we’d be in business.

THE BANGS NEED TO GO!!! Why has she been wearing bangs this promotional tour?

    • yeahandalso
      0

my thoughts exactly, they are terribly unflattering to her face and she clearly has a cowlick in the front so they won’t lay smoothly…it just looks weird.

      • ruby
        0

I cant stop thinking that either. That last photo of her at DL show is THE first time she’s managed to style her bangs and look half decent. They just look so…dowdy and NOT cute…bangs should be cute

    • Merricat
      0

YES. I honestly think the major problem with all of these Hunger Games appearances has been her hair and makeup. sure, her makeup does look better here, but damn, I don’t think anyone is less suited to have bangs than her.

      • Popcouver
        0

I feel like this is the first time her bangs look… right? She’s probably just attempting to grown them out from the Katniss hair. Also, it doesn’t detract from her face at all. She is SO PRETTY.

Saw the green dress in person at the B&N signing last night. She was rocking the full sideboob. I mean, she worked it but a lot was showing. The fit of the waist was incredible though.

Josh was there too. He is really teeny. 5’3″, tops. Was a total sweetheart though, they stayed late to sign for everyone.

    • Kris M
      0

He’s actually 5’7″. Liam is 6’3″, so it just makes him look teeny. Plus JLaw is also 5’7″, but adding 5-6 inch heels doesn’t help.

She looks fantastic for Letterman, and the hair and makeup demonstrate just how bad her hair and makeup have been. Maybe they’re trying to make her look young and sweet at the premiers or something? Young and sweet and boobful. It makes no sense.

  6. Mara

She looks gorgeous in the black. She trots out a lot of color, but I could do with more black from her. Or maybe she should just change her make-up when wearing a color. SOMETHING is off.

Letterman outfit a gamechanger … Hutcherson shrinking to be boob-level … but I refuse to go farther than that …

wikipedia just taught me that Boobs Legsy picked up Jennifer Lawrence’s sloppy seconds after she dropped out of a movie to play Katniss! possibly the best news I’ve heard ever.

    • yeahandalso
      0

yes, but the end result of that was still Boobs being cast in an Oliver Stone movie, there really are no loosers in that story

      • Katharine
        0

Savages has a really interesting cast – I would love to have seen Jennifer Lawrence with Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson … Blake Lively as a leading actress is a reason not to see movies.

  9. Karen
    0

There is just WAY too much under-boob on offer in that second photo. YIKES. I think that dress would have worked significantly better if the V had just been a little narrower.

As for her shoes–it looks like her toes on the right are sticking out farther than the toes on the left, which is why her heel on the right looks like it’s swimming but the one on the left doesn’t.

Also? Yowzah on the Letterman ensemble, including those fabulous shoes.

  10. Bailey

She looks adorable and I think I’d wear the dress in an INSTANT, but something seems off to me. I don’t know, but she’s standing the way I do when I realize I’ll have to repeatedly adjust some part of my dress for the rest of the day.

I love the green dress. I love the black dress. I love her. I love Helms. And I love Petite-a.

    CANT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!

I’m married to a short man – he’s 5’4″ and I’m 5’6″ . Short men are as awesome as tall men, and I appreciate that I don’t have to strain my neck to kiss him. Not to mention that many women overlook short men (haha), so there are quality, single, short men out there. Team HUTCH!

I love the shoes in the fourth slide.

  13. vandalfan
    0

My Dad was 5’4″ and he said he LOVED close dancing with tall, well endowed ladies. (Then he’s shake his head back and forth and go Bbbrrrrbbrrbbr and we’d laugh and laugh!) I assume she does not want to be taken seriously as an actress with that kind of outfit.

    • Stefanie
      +1

My husband is 5’7 (although he swears hes 5’8 but he’s not) and I am 5’11 bare footed – he does the exact same thing to me. We always were a classy bunch.

Why does her choice of dress mean she wont be taken seriously as an actress? Actresses show cleav all the time…

      • Kara
        0

Agree, Stefanie. Maybe this says something about me, but that cleavage really doesn’t make my jaw drop and go “OMG INAPPROPRIATE.” She’s not the first actress to show cleavage, won’t be the last. If this dress were tight and a mini, then I’d think “OK, too much” but the full skirt and knee-length balance out the cleavage. Plus it looks like it fits perfectly, which helps (and I’m sure she’s sporting some double-sided tape) – Viola Davis’s cleavage-baring stuff is often too small, causing the squashed-boob thing, which makes it look even more provocative.

      • Nancy
        0

Not the best ones. Did Meryl Streep show boobs like this when younger? Does Kate Blanchett? Would Emma Watson?

How many really serious actresses look like their breast is going to fall out of a gown?? It does demean her and takes her, IMO, from the serious actress category to the “starlet” category.

    • Paige
      0

So she can’t show off her (fabulous) cleavage without being taken seriously? She’s not at an interview for senior account executive at Earnest & Young- let her show some skin if she so desires. It’s hardly as if she’s constantly showing lots of cleavage, or if any other part of the dress is remotely vulgar.

      • Paige
        0

Eep, Ernst & Young*. Curse you, auto correct.

      • Sarah L.
        0

Gotta agree with most of you on this one — showing some cleavage doesn’t mean you don’t want to be taken seriously. We’ve moved out of those times, I hope, where women are judged that way, generally, and I definitely don’t think it’s the standard by which actresses are judged in Hollywood.

Also, Paige, I enjoyed the misspelling — we should be promoting Earnest & Young attire on a 21-year-old, not Ernst & Young

    • Paige
      0

Nancy- those are different types of women. I consider Kate Winslet a serious actress, and she does not shy away from cleavage. Even Cate Blanchett has displayed cleavage before:

      http://nz.movies.yahoo.com/actor-crew/121701/cate-blanchett/

The fact is, Jennifer Lawrence does not always dress like this. She is still very young and is being thrust into the spotlight, and I expect her to make more than a few fashion blunders as she finds her way. I don’t think it’s fair to say that a woman has to adhere to a certain style to be considered serious about her profession, especially when there is no defined dress code. She has a very long time to grow into a mature style; lets not write her off so quickly.

  14. Lynne
    0

She’s adorable. Love her. But her hair is making me crazy. Don’t get me wrong. I’m pushing imaginary bangs out of my eyes just looking at these photos.

And hey, maybe the cleavage in the green dress is a bit much but she’s 21. If I had the cleavage of a 21 year-old, I’d be flaunting the hell out of it too. Unlike Boobs Legsly, Jen knows you don’t have to show off everything just because you’re young and perky.

  15. Kara

I never gave much thought to Josh Hutcherson’s height before seeing him next to Jennifer Lawrence, but now that I have, I think he’s legit short. IMDB says he’s 5’7″, and I think there’s no way. That would make him and Jennifer Lawrence the same height if they’re both standing barefoot. If her shoes are 4″, well, she looks more than 4″ taller than he is in that picture – he comes up to her shoulder. I think he’s 5’3″ish. Nothing wrong with it (although as a 5’8.5″ woman, I prefer men my height or taller), but I do think he’s more than just “shortER.”

I love the green dress but am actually not in love with the black – she looks great in it, but it doesn’t do much for me.

    • anny

According to IMDB, Tom Cruise is also 5’7″.
“Publicist height” is notoriously measured after a cool wash, slight stretching and hanging to dry.

In some BTS arena footage I saw, they do appear to be almost exactly the same height, if not the same.

That’s it, I’ve really had it with the translation of Hunger Games into a movie. This whole Team Peeta/Gale thing, judging the actors for superficial things, these press junkets– it’s starting to make me feel like I’m a spectator in the capitol. And yes, I understand what this site is about and what we do here, but it feels really weird and cynical to do it to this story.

The Letterman dress is fab, but the green dress is fug. Well, the green color is nice, but blech, boob pancakes are not attractive. And her hair needs help, asap. Those bangs are atrocious.

    • Q
      0

      Die bangs DIE.

Also, what I really want for Christmas in March, is for her hair not to be blonde. Or dark brown. But to be like a golden brown. Google showed me a photoshopped picture of her with brownie gold locks, and it looked *amazing.*

Alternatively, she can just fix her horrible eye makeup of despair. Not to hate: I <3 you Katniss.

  18. LG

Guh, that color is AMAZING, but seriously, put it away.

  19. CJ

I like the Letterman outfit and her hair looks gorgeous, but what’s with the way she is holding her arms? I am not a huge fan of the very practiced one arm akimbo pose, but this looks like her underarms are itching — or like she’s trying to give them some air so she doesn’t pit her clothes. It’s an awkward position for her arms — and she’s doing it in the green dress too. Speaking of which, I like the color, but I’m not crazy about the fit in her boobs. It’s creating a shelf under her boobs which means the fit isn’t that great. Also, she’s got such a pretty smile, but that’s not what she is sporting here. She looks like her face is too tired for a real smile. Or like she’s trying to smile though her feet are killing her.

As for the shoes, we see this over and over again. If you’re going to wear those ultra-high heels you have to walk around in them a while in the store. Gravity pulls your feet toward the toes in really high heels which creates that awful gap in the back. You have to figure your proper size at the shoe store, not on the red carpet. With the money these girls pay for stylists, it’s a shame that they can’t get that right.

    Love the letterman shoes.

My God, Hutch is a Hobbit. In other news that Jennifer Lawrence has a body that will. not. quit. Rock the side boob, gurl. Love the green and Letterman dresses.

My favourite look was actually the cute little sheath she wore on the way in to the Letterman show. The black & gold here is nice and fits her well, but it looks a bit old on her (also wintry: it’s spring! Have some fun!). The green is a great colour but the fit through the bust is terrible. I was just saying that she needs to get into some Calvin Klein, and clearly I was wrong.

However, those shoes are to die for, and I think she’s adorbs. She just needs a better stylist.

I feel like JLaw is overdoing it a little on this whole tour, overplaying the “I all growed up and NOT a boy” card. I can understand that, gawd who could resist that much chance to glam and shine, I just… it’s just all been a bit in my face. Less can be more.

    • Emily
      0

Yeah, I just think she’s only really becoming aware of how gorgeous she is — her character in Winter’s Bone was so rough-edged and unglamorous. Now she has the chance to really show off her amazing body and looks, and I’m not sure she has quite figured out how to do it. She’ll get there. She is an unbelievably beautiful girl.

  26. Lynne

On the other hand, Paige, I’d like to know exactly what goes down at Earnest & Young. It sounds adorable.

  27. Girlin

I love the dress – the colour is beautiful on her and I think it matches her age perfectly. That said,…I must agree with some of the fuggers above….there is no need for the fringe. It is not very flattering to her face shape and makes her cheeks look bigger than they are. Still I think she is adorable so I gave her a delicious!

What the flipping hell is up with that eye make-up? Is she in seventh grade? Regarding the cleavage, much depends on the time of day and location of the event. You can turn it up a couple of notches for evening events, but that is way too much flesh for daytime on anyone who doesn’t Kind Touch for a living. Plus, you know Barnes & Noble? It’s a BOOKSTORE not a subsidiary of Victoria’s Secret. Not that you have to wear a Librarian’s Cardigan (hush, I can tease because I belong), but still. Of course, I don’t like the whole Sternum on a Plate look anyway. Necklines should be in the same hemisphere as the actual necks which they should be lining.

  30. R

I’m not sure that I love her with blond-ish hair. I feel like she would be better as a brunette. Other than that, nicely done, especially the Letterman outfit!

LETTERMAN SHOOOOOOOES!!!!!!! FTW. That is all.

  32. Abby
    0

I adore the color of the green dress. Do I think it would look better with a little less boob? Yes. It always seems that the halter-type neckline just totally flattens and un-prettifies a chestier woman, and can be hit or miss on a more flat-chested gal. The waist of the dress is great, though.

The Letterman dress is fab. I want it. I covet it.

And she needs to lose the bangs. Really. I mean, I’ve been there. Who hasn’t been there? Bangs are hard! Oh, woe, what to do with these bangs? I have an idea. Get rid of them. And maybe invest in a new makeup person as well. She’s beautiful, glammed up or with a more natural look. Unfortunately, whoever is doing her makeup seems to be trying to force the natural look with makeup, and ends up either using too much, or the wrong colors, or what have you.

    • dvj

Exactly, the makeup artist is trying to make her look young and fresh and instead making her look like crap. Ditto hair wrangler.

I just think I don’t like that much cleavage with a shorter dress. Short dresses just scream “cute!” to me, then the boobs scream “boobs!” and it just seems at odds.

  35. Kendra

I laughed so hard – “he doesn’t give a damn and is slouching because he thinks this whole thing is hilarious”. Oh my gosh let this be true, I keep hearing how crazy nice and awesome he is in person, and he is sporting a pretty wry expression in that photo. Hahahahaha…how short will people think I am NOW?! Hobbit-sized? I’ll go BORROWERS-sized on you suckas!

  36. Elise

I don’t normally like dresses that are that plunge-y but if my boobs still looked like that, I’d wear it. She has perfect boobies! She looks gorgeous. The green is spectacular. I agree the bangs aren’t fabulous on her, but hell, the boobs are awesome enough to distract from even terrible hair. Which hers isn’t.

There’s just way too much of this Full Mediastinum neckline going around. It’s just not really pretty. Totally useful for CPR, admittedly.

  38. Tracey
    0

I don’t know much about her, but the clothes just look off on her. Her posture makes her seem uncomfortable and isn’t selling the look. Her boobs are great, but just a tad too much for me (sideboob is tacky) – maybe because the skirt is a bit poodle-skirt/flirty young, it doesn’t go with the plunging sexy neckline top. The black dress – again, she just doesn’t look at ease in it but the dress itself is lovely. Maybe just some posture lessons?

She’s trying way to hard in this promo tour to prove she’s an adult, not a 16 year old with the excessive makeup and boobage from all angles.

We get it, you’re not your character, you want mature roles, but unless you want to be the next Sharon Stone, cover it up already.

  42. Laucie

I prefer her approach to RoonMa’s all Lisbeth, all the time. A character is a character, and it’s appropriate to separate oneself as an actor from the film persona.
And I would adore the green dress with half the cleavage. The flippy skirt and color are great.

    TEAM HUTCH!

Sorry, had to get that out of the way. :) Ok, so the Letterman dress and shoes were phenomenal! Love. The green dress is an amazing color, buuuut the slit was a tad low. She needs some help with those shoes. Her feet look like they’re swimming in them. Overall, I don’t mind it though. It could be MUCH worse.

    A. “Shrinks?” had me in tears.
    B. If I had that body, I’d be rocking it straight Boobs Legsly style, so good on her for keeping her head.
    C. The Letterman dress is gorgeous – are those different colored panels on the sides? Or just the way the light hits it? Who cares?
    D. No idea when I climbed aboard the Josh Hutcherson bandwagon, but I am driving that bus now. I love that he’s like, fuck you Liam, I’ll be down here with the ladies, if you know what I mean. Sidebar: I bet they made the poor guy wear these during shooting.

I’d love to see Hutch and Daniel Radcliffe (also notoriously wee but awesome regardless) stand side by side. He’s probably normal person height but looses out having to stand next to Hems and a not-so-wee actress who is sporting some serious heels. Radcliffe (and the Harry producers) lucked out that Emma and Rupert also didn’t turn out very tall.

I love the green dress and while I don’t love the bangs, I do think the overall look is nice. As for er cleavage: I don’t think it will mean she won’t be taken seriously, but it wouldn’t hurt her to bring it down a notch either. The comparisons to Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet, who don’t shy away from cleavage are good, but those two actresses have at least 15 years on Jennifer. I wish she and her people weren’t trying to grow her up so fast.

  52. Penny

put a higher neckline or less of a wide v on that green dress and it’d be okay, as it is it’s too much, legs or boobs, not both. But I want to know why is Hutch dressed so casually when the other two dressed up more? If I was Jennifer Lawrence I’d wonder why I went to all that effort if I could have been much more comfortable (and still looking gorgeous) in jeans and a teeshirt.
