It wasn’t until the fourth Hunger Games event that Jennifer Lawrence went literal as the Girl On Fire. Well, okay, not literal. She did not show up on fire, and she did not — to my knowledge — pull a Cheno and catch her hair extensions aflame in a bathroom candle aflame while vomiting. So let’s say she went symbolic. With the help of Marchesa, of course. Because if you ever want to look like a burning effigy of yourself, that’s probably where you turn.
The hilarious thing about this is, I decided to put it up to a vote because although it’s dramatic, I’m not quite sure if it’s my thing. And then I realized we’d featured this in our slideshow from the Fall 2012 runway show, at which time I said, “Pretty idea, but my guess is that when Ashley Greene or whoever wears this I will still put it up for a vote and then announce it’s not my thing.” HA. At least I’m consistent?
