1. That Stella dress is even fuglier up-close.
2. Reese sure does love emeralds. I’m pretty sure she wore a honkin’ big pair of emerald earrings to the Oscars.
3. Can we please stop with the platform shoes already? PLEASE?!
Let me tell you that I was in London this week and the Stella McCartney window shop has this exact same dress – oh how I laughed. It REALLY looks like a very cheap dress you’d find in a no-name store with 12£ dresses.
I want Melissa Rycroft’s shoes for a trip through wine country – the heels will double as a corkscrew.
The thing that struck me about this slide show is all the fugly pedicures. That tan-peach color will forever remind me of the hand models in asprin commercials. Celebrities have the opportunities to wear such fun and expensive shoes….is it THAT hard to schedule in a pedi? And pick a decent color?
Kate Bosworth also is in desperate need of a pedicure. and i totally agree about Gwyneth – she DESERVES Kate’s feet so much more than Kate! she’s so smug and stuff, and while she’s brilliant on-camera, i kinda can’t stand her IRL. but Kate deserves to have feet as sweet and cute as the rest of her. am i right?
Well, that closeup of Kate Bosworth’s feet is pretty horrifying. Would it have killed her to get a pedi (or, at the very least, smooth out those heels) before walking a red carpet wearing sandals? I mean, it’s not like her schedule is really that full.
also pretty fug is LeAnn Rimes’ heels…they need some serious TLC, smoothing, buffing etc…between her and Kate, just…yuk…and does Emily Blunt have an ingrown? ouch…those shoes are gorgeous but they obviously cause serious problems!
I kind of like the red (or orange) 80 shows Olivia wore.
Me too! And I’m not into 80s retro, like, at all. I don’t remember the outfit that went with them but I’m willing to bet it wasn’t strong enough to complement them.
Me too! Origami was cool back then, and we’ve seen a couple of really decent examples of origami dresses lately. I love this trend.
Ow! My knees!
I want those tuxedo shoes.
Only people with very thin ankles should wear shoes with ankle straps. Adding a bow to the strap is further stupefying.
Ha! That’s stumpifying.
Oh, both stumpifying and stupefying, I think.
The foot tux is not happening. Your foot cannot be ehanced by the presence of a cummerbund.
Bulging veins and squashed up toe cleavage are not attractive. I have strong opinions about foot health.
Kate’s feet up close is a big yuck! and i really covet Gwyneth’s sandals, but not so much the boots, i dont like the white material
It’s gratifying to see that even celebrities (LeAnn) have problems with self-tanner around their ankles and feet!
Kate Bosworth’s toes may be hanging out of her sandals, but I think it’s not because they’re too small, it’s because her feet are sliding downhill. There must be some mathematical point at which a heel is too tall for the length of foot. Next stop, pointe shoes. They look reeeeeally uncomfortable.
I’m a hammertoe girl….. I didn’t even know it was something weird till a friend pointed it out to me when I was in my 20′s. haha! I like my little hammertoes though…they make wearing heals easier.
i was glad to see i wasnt alone in just loveloveloving kristen wiig’s shoes. theyre nicholas kirkwood if anyone else wants to know [someone else did & i followed her link to saks. where they are, um, seven or eight hundred bucks, ie: in dreamsville for at least me].
I echo the love of Kirsten Wiig’s Kirkwood heels. The first time I ever saw them was while I was browsing through Nordstrom’s website, and even then I had to pause and click on them they were so eye-catching. If only I was the kind to have a spare $1000 lying around…
I rather like the shoes Kelli Jones is wearing, but I admit I don’t think they’re a good red carpet heel. More like a fierce street fashion shoe for a night on the town.
FYI fug ladies, these gallery images are tough to see on Android phones. The commentary is buried way down below the screen and the celebrity names don’t display.
Hang up and drive! (just kidding)
Wow – did not like any piece in the whole slideshow. Amazing.
LOVE the earrings!!! WANT!
I STILL like ScarJo’s shoes! I want them… a lot.
Yes, those were gorgeous.
me too! I didn’t even notice the leftover nail polish, I was just impressed by how perfect her feet are and fit in those shoes so well.
I would be beyond mortified if there were extreme close-ups of my feet on the internets for all the world to pick apart!
Those printed pumps are very cool.
I must have Reese’s earrings.
I didn’t find anything pretty in all of this. This said, there must be, like, 1 pair of shoes which doesn’t make feet’s veins show. It’s so ugly.
1. Anybody know what the blue stone on Reese’s earrings is? When I first saw them a few days ago I thought they were turquoise, but now I’m not so sure… I want to find knockoffs on etsy.
2. Is it just me or are platforms and especially platform stilettos becoming increasingly trashy? 3 years ago they were kind of cool. Now if I see an otherwise lovely shoe with even a modest platform I feel revulsion. It’s a Pavlovian response. It is, I think, much like my distaste for overly styled eyebrows, fake lashes and skintight white dresses, a result of Kardashian Konditioning.
The only shoes I liked were Alexa Vega and Scarlett Johhansen’s although it is criminal for ScarJo to wear those shoes without a decent pedicure.
The tuxedo shoes may be ugly, but Emily Blunt has such pretty feet in them – it almost looks like she is wearing hose – not a vein to be seen!
Gwynneth is wearing irons on her feet, I sweartagod!
