I know Lorde’s whole thing is wearing black outfits — well, 98 percent of the time, anyway — but there is monochromatic and then there is GOOD stuff that’s monochromatic.
This is just shapeless see-through loungewear, like Victoria’s Secret is coming out with a line for teens at school-sanctioned lock-ins. It’s heavy and it’s unflattering and it’s twee and it’s dopey, and so very early-aughts; about the only thing I’m stoked about here is that she looks happy in it. Hey, at least one person is experiencing joy here. That’s something.
