Fugger: Tracee Ellis Ross

Fugs and Fabs: Everyone Else at the NAACP Image Awards

People went for a wide range of patterns and colors and silhouettes for this red carpet, to which I say: THANK YOU, CELEBRITIES. Please continue in this manner forever.

Fug or Fab: Tracee Ellis Ross at the Elle Women in TV Event

I was SO into this at first.

I love the paisley — or, you know, it’s at least paisley-adjacent — and the pop of bright red/orange, and the purse. But the longer I stared at it, the more I wondered if it needs a few more inches to be its best self, and then suddenly the midriff turned into an homage to Charlie Brown, and that purse actually probably belongs with a different outfit altogether so that it’s a show piece and not just a clashing, noisy distraction. Also, why are the knuckles of her big toes oozing out of her shoes, and where was her lip gloss consultant?

In sum, I basically un-fabbed this for myself. My balloon has been popped, flew around the room, and is now lying in an airless heap near the fireplace, waiting for its grave. Sniff.

Elle Women in Hollywood: Fugs and Fabs, the Patterns

Judy Greer might win this one. Actually, wait a second. It’s possible that sentence should just read, “Judy Greer might win.”

Fugs and Fabs: Variety’s Power of Women Lunch

Oh, Gwyneth. I wish you’d used this as a chance to show off a woman’s power to wear cuter shoes.

Emmy Awards Fugs and Fabs: Drinks With Broads Edition

This is obviously not a comprehensive list, and some others were already featured (hi, Jamie Lee Curtis), but this seemed as fun a way as any to cluster some of these so we can put the Emmys to bed. Remember when we’d stretch these posts out until, like, Thursday? TOO LONG.

Fugs and Fabs: Day of Indulgence Party

I assume this is some kind of Celebrity Gifting Suite and Pampering Adventure. So even though these are mostly what you’d call candids, it seems like the surprise factor at being photographed is on par with going to lunch at The Ivy, but with added product placement.

Fugs and Fabs: The Gents of ABC

I don’t know why I decided to put Tracee Ellis Ross in here instead of with the women, but I decided it’s because there were a LOT of cute patterns in the other slideshow and so here she stands out more and nobody will overlook how GREAT she looks.
