Fugger: Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Fugs and Fabs: The VEEP Premiere

This show is a delight and so are like…55% of the outfits at its premiere this week. That’s…well, an F. I’m sorry, Veep!

Critics’ Choice Movie Awards: Fugs and Fabs of the Rest

I enjoy the awards shows with “Choice” in the title, because it implies that all the other ones are a result of hostage situations.

Golden Globes Well Played, Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Yeah, yeah, she looks great:

She almost always looks great — I think the most negative reaction I’ve EVER had to old JLD is a “well, I don’t LOVE it but I don’t want to set it on fire or anything” — and her body is, as the kids say, “bangin’,” but if the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that she also IS great. I could watch this gif of her smoking an e-cig and rejecting Reese Witherspoon all day long. Please come over to GFY HQ and light cigarettes in my face all day long, Julia. I will happily bring you hot dogs.

Emmy Awards Well Played, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (and Tony Hale)

These two looked lovely and also I find them both delightful. I think we’ve mentioned this before, but last year, when Heather and I covered the red carpet in person for Vulture, we spoke to both of them in person and they were both so classy and awesome, which was not the case with everyone. Tony Hale is possibly the nicest person alive.

Critics’ Choice Television Awards: The basics

I had no idea this awards event was even a thing. I guess this was only the third one, though. I’m sure the ancient stonemasons who etched gossip tablets back in Olden Times said the same thing at the third Emmys.

Fugs and Fabs: White House Correspondents’ Dinner: Brights

We saw the white, black, navy, and otherwise vaguely neutral frocks, now let’s take a look at the women who actually wore some color this weekend. Also: OMG a LOT of people went to this thing, many of whom I doubt are even good EMAIL correspondents.
