SAG Awards Fug and Fabs: Women in White

When Sarah Paulson climbed on stage with a variety of other actors in 12 Years a Slave, they cut to Bradley Cooper for some rando reason and he had the most exquisite WTF look on his face. I am sure it had nothing to do with any of this — maybe he was thinking, “how is it possible that I miss my man-perm THIS much?” — but I like to think he was actually wondering what happened to the rest of her dress.

Technically, they’re not all little black dresses — some of them might just be little darkly colored dresses. And actually some of them aren’t little, and one of them isn’t a dress. So let’s revise: Basically, it seems like a lot of people have worn black in the last two days. Might as well herd them.

CFDA Fugs and Fabs: Cleaning Out My Lightbox

It’s that time again: Hollywood marches on and my brain can’t keep pace, so, I run out of time to make lengthy, thoughtful, or possibly even coherent observations about each of these. That doesn’t mean I won’t try here, but really, is it any wonder that Busy here left me speechless? She’s wearing a jumpsuit made of Cher. There aren’t words for that.

From a distance, I thought this was nude, and I said to Jessica, “Oh, great. It’s like a Spanx cummerbund.”

But I actually think it’s gold, and now that I see more of it, I also think it’s flattering. The vaguely Star Trek quality of the neck — you know, the stuff they made the ladies wear that was both prim and strangely erotic at the same time — kind of works for me. And on a night where nobody really did anything truly risky or unusual, I appreciate anyone whose outfit may lead to a Googler finding this site by typing, “Star Trek sexy time yeeeeah.”
