Golden Globes Well Played: Ashley Madekwe

Ashley Madekwe is lucky her character on Revenge was such a hot professional mess, because that show is a grim professional mess and at this point I think it’s better for everyone involved to be out of there — except for Gabriel Mann and Justin Hartley, who are doing that thing where they somehow rise above the morass and it makes them look even better.

However, SHE has NEVER looked better. I love the bright colors and the mod design — it’s more inventive than most, it’s definitely ballsy, and she handled the hair and makeup well because they aren’t washed out, but they both take a backseat to her glowy, glowy skin.  Sometimes the best revenge may, in fact, be no longer being on Revenge.

Fugs and Fabs: Dior/Saks Party

This one desperately needed a hit after her mind-scramblingly hideous VMAs ensemble. And mercy of mercies, she got it. Parenthetically, I just looked at that link and spent three minutes sputtering various consonant sounds at Jessica to try and articulate my horror, and all that came out was gibberish. It was very “flames… on the side of my face…” except without the charm.
