This might be my favorite (non-Met Gala) Katy Perry outfit in a good while.
Its size and scope is fairly specific to a Go Big Or Go Home event like Cannes, but all that means is that she picked the right routine to deploy at the event; it doesn’t guarantee that she’ll stick the landing. But she did. The styling is super simple, yet still fully thought-out and carefully executed. She hit the right balance between a dramatic, intricate dress and an overall look that still draws focus right back to her face. That’s difficult. That’s Advanced Celebrity Theatrics. Team Perry ought to be celebrating with Champagne and baked goods today.
