This movie looks creepy as hell — it’s James McAvoy playing a bajillion different people, many of them insane and terrible, living inside one Super Villain who has kidnapped Anya here. And that’s not a spoiler; that’s all in the trailer. It looks mad weird (and it’s M. Night Shyamalan, so… I assume he pops up in it somewhere as, like, the mildly curious but ultimately not-too-fussed neighbor who doesn’t ask enough questions). Anya’s dress feels slightly on point here, in the sense that its two halves appear to be rather at odds with each other. The color stories hate each other. I can live with the hues in the skirt, but just… everything about this in general screams Separates They Tried To Sell At Wet Seal In 2002.
