How apt that I am writing this post right now, because I literally just finished reading a very interesting profile in the New York Times about Abbi Jacobson and this new series, which is based on the film, but has different characters and is telling a wider array of stories than the movie did, including stories of Black women. I LOVE A League of Their Own and really hope this Amazon series is good! What I can tell you is that the red carpet was very enjoyable.
